Why bundle

A separate office-coffee contract is paying twice for the same truck

Most workplaces under 200 people don’t actually need a standalone office-coffee vendor on top of their vending operator. The economics are the same truck, the same restock visit, the same service technician. When the coffee, the snacks, and the drinks all run through one route, the operator can absorb the brewer cost — and the team gets a better setup for less hassle.

Bottoms Up Vending runs coffee as part of a full breakroom program — snack vending, drink vending, office coffee, micro markets, and ice cream — across our tri-state footprint. You pick the brewer format that matches how your team drinks. We install it, supply it, and service it on the same route that already handles your snacks and drinks.

The bundle math

One route visit covers coffee restock, snack restock, drink restock, and brewer service. That’s why coffee comes in with no monthly machine fee on qualifying sites — the route economics already work.

What we install

Two setups — one for the team to pour, one for the public to pay

Office coffee actually splits into two clean offerings depending on who’s drinking it and who’s paying. We install both. The right one depends on whether the people drinking the coffee are your team or your customers.

Setup 01 — Free cup Bean-to-cup espresso brewer on a clean counter in a modern workplace lounge
Bean-to-cup brewer

Bean-to-cup brewer — free cup for the team

Real bean-to-cup espresso brewer on the counter. Everyone in the building pours their own — staff, customers in the lounge, visitors. You pay per pound of beans + cups + supplies; the brewer itself comes in with no monthly equipment fee on qualifying sites because it bundles with the snack + drink vending route.

Best forOffices, dealerships, healthcare staff, plant offices

Equipment cost$0 on qualifying sites (bundled with vending)
What you payBeans, cups, supplies — by usage
  • Car dealership customer lounge — keeps CSI scores up
  • Corporate office kitchen — staff perk that pulls people in
  • Healthcare staff break room — third-shift caffeine, not for public hallways
  • Manufacturing plant office — supervisors, admin, front-office crew
Most workplaces fit here
Setup 02 — Pay-per-cup Standalone coffee vending machine in a public-access lobby — pay-per-cup at the unit
Coffee vending machine

Coffee vending machine — pay-per-cup at the unit

Free-standing coffee vending machine. The person buying the cup pays at the machine. No host workforce paying the program — the equipment generates its own revenue from the people drinking the coffee. Card-only payment is the standard approach now.

Equipment cost$0 to host (machine takes its own revenue)
What you payNothing — host receives standard placement terms
  • Truck stops and over-the-road rest areas — 24/7 driver traffic

How it lands

From first call to fresh pour in one walk-through, one install

No multi-vendor coordination. One operator, one route, one point of contact for the whole breakroom.

01
Walk-through

We learn how your team drinks

Headcount, shift pattern, current coffee setup, where the brewer wants to live. A no-obligation on-site walk-through — about 30 minutes.

02
Format match

We pick the setup — bean-to-cup or pay-per-cup

Two real choices: a bean-to-cup brewer where everyone on the team pours their own (and you absorb the bean cost), or a pay-per-cup coffee vending machine where the people drinking it pay at the unit. The right one depends on who’s drinking and who you want footing the bill.

03
Bundle

We pair coffee with snacks & drinks

This is what makes the brewer cost-free on qualifying sites. The vending machine, the drink cooler, the office coffee bar — they all run on one weekly route visit.

04
Install

Equipment in, supplies stocked

Our team handles delivery, install, and the first stock — usually within a week or two of the walk-through. We label every machine with our direct contact info, so anyone on your team can get fast help.

05
Weekly service

Restock, clean, calibrate

The same route driver who restocks your snacks and drinks restocks coffee, swaps the bean hopper, descales the brewer on schedule, and reports back what’s moving and what isn’t.

06
Tune

Adjust the lineup as you learn

Three months in, we revisit what the team is actually drinking and adjust the bean choice, milk options, and the snack/drink mix. The program shifts with your team — it’s not a one-time install.

“A separate office-coffee vendor on a separate contract paying a separate truck to come to the same building is the most expensive way to run a breakroom under 200 people.”The bundle thesis — why coffee + vending runs on one route
Where this lands

Five places we install coffee — four free-pour, one pay-per-cup

Sector 01

Corporate & professional offices

The classic free-pour fit. Bean-to-cup brewer in the kitchen, drink cooler with the standard sodas + sparkling + water options, snack machine for afternoon. One weekly route handles all three. Everyone pours their own coffee.

  • Bean-to-cup brewer — free cup for the whole office
  • Milk options including dairy-free alternatives
  • Snack & drink mix tunable per floor or department
Sector 02

Auto dealerships & service bays

Customer lounge gets the bean-to-cup brewer for the waiting-room moment that drives CSI scores. Service bay tech corner gets snack & drink vending. Coffee is free-pour for both customers in the lounge and techs on the floor — same brewer can serve the whole building.

  • Bean-to-cup brewer in the customer lounge — free cup, CSI driver
  • Same brewer serves the service-bay techs on shift
  • Cross-link: car dealership program
Sector 03

Healthcare staff break rooms

Coffee is the only thing keeping a third-shift unit running. Bean-to-cup brewer goes in the staff break room, not the public hallway. Free cup for staff. ADA-aware placement reviewed on-site. Restock windows worked around shift change.

  • Bean-to-cup brewer in the staff-only break room
  • Free cup for staff — host covers beans + supplies
  • Cross-link: healthcare program
Sector 04

Manufacturing & logistics break rooms

Front-office and supervisor break rooms get the bean-to-cup brewer with a free cup for everyone on shift. Snack and drink vending out on the floor handles the rest of the breakroom needs. The bundle math holds: same route restocks coffee, snacks, and drinks.

  • Bean-to-cup brewer in the office or supervisor break room
  • Free cup for everyone — staff perk that pulls into the right room
  • Cross-link: manufacturing program
Sector 05

Truck stops, rest areas & lodging

The pay-per-cup case. Coffee vending machine in the lobby, the driver lounge, or the public concourse. No host workforce paying the program — the machine takes its own revenue from the people drinking the coffee. Open 24/7, card-only payment, restocked on the same route as the snack and drink vending on site.

  • Coffee vending machine in driver lounges, rest-stop concourses, hotel lobbies
  • Pay-per-cup at the unit — card-only payment standard
  • Cross-links: hotel program · logistics & truck stops

Office coffee FAQ

What workplaces ask before they bundle coffee in

Is the “free coffee machine for office” actually free?

The bean-to-cup brewer itself comes in with no monthly equipment fee on qualifying sites. You pay for what gets used — beans by the pound, cups, and supplies. That’s how the model works: the operator absorbs the brewer cost because the same route is already on site for snacks and drinks. If you don’t have a snack + drink fit on site (small headcount, transient traffic), the second offering is a pay-per-cup coffee vending machine — the equipment generates its own revenue from the people drinking it.

Which setup fits us — bean-to-cup or coffee vending machine?

Easiest answer is a 30-minute on-site walk-through. The shortcut version: if your team is paying for the coffee program (host-funded staff perk), it’s a bean-to-cup brewer with free pour for everyone. If the people drinking the coffee should be the ones paying (truck stop, lodging, lobby, public-access site), it’s a coffee vending machine that takes payment at the unit. Same operator runs both.

Do you offer just coffee, without vending?

Yes — but the economics shift. A standalone office-coffee program means we’re running a route truck for one stop and one brewer, so the no-machine-fee model only works on certain headcount thresholds. If your site has a snack + drink vending fit and you skip the bundle, you’re paying more for less. Most workplaces find the bundle wins.

What about iced coffee, chilled coffee options, or specialty drinks?

Cold options come in through the drink cooler or through a hot-drink vending machine with cold-drink settings, depending on the brewer format. We can include seasonal cold-coffee options on the route — it’s a quick conversation during the walk-through. The mix is tunable per account.

How fast does the brewer get installed?

Usually a week or two after the walk-through. The bean-to-cup brewer can land faster when one is in stock; the coffee vending machine sometimes needs to be ordered in. We don’t promise specific dates upfront because the route schedule and equipment availability both flex — we tell you the realistic window after we walk the site.

Do you handle milk — dairy and dairy-free?

Yes. Most accounts include a dairy option plus at least one dairy-free option. Bean-to-cup brewers handle steamed milk directly through the unit. Cold dairy can also be stocked through the drink cooler on the same route. Tuned per account during the walk-through and adjusted as the team’s ask shifts.

What does service actually look like week-to-week?

The same route driver who restocks your snacks and drinks restocks coffee, descales the brewer on schedule, swaps the bean hopper, and reports back what’s moving and what isn’t. Every machine is labeled with our direct contact info, so anyone on your team can reach us if there’s an issue between visits.

Can a coffee vending machine work in a lobby, truck stop, or rest area?

Yes — that’s exactly the format built for public access. Pay-per-cup at the unit, card-only payment is the standard approach now, ADA-aware placement reviewed on-site. This is the second of the two setups we run — the bean-to-cup brewer is for free-pour workplaces, the coffee vending machine is for transient and public-access sites.

What service area do you cover?

Illinois, NW Indiana, and southeast Wisconsin — from the three hubs in Posen IL (HQ), Springfield IL, and Kenosha WI. The 20-minute drive footprint from one of those hubs is the realistic service area for the bundled-coffee route. Outside that footprint we can usually still run coffee, but the bundle math changes.
